
Kristin has been an admissions counselor for twenty years and has successfully worked with hundreds of families on their college and private school admissions journeys. She got her start in the field by working with an access to education program where she helped students apply to boarding schools and also visited and helped them through these important years. She went on to become an independent educational consultant in 2005, working with families from all over the world, including 23 different countries, many states, and in her local area. Kristin enjoys working with teenagers, helping them explore new educational opportunities while putting their best foot forward in the admissions process.
She is a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and has served on the Outreach Committee and the Schools Committee. She has written three education books, one of them in its second edition. Kristin is an expert on boarding schools and their admissions processes, and is the author of the book, “Prep: The Parents Guide to Boarding Schools,” published by Bloomsbury in 2025.
Kristin is a graduate of Georgetown University and has a MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. She lives in Darien, Connecticut with her husband, three daughters—one at Amherst College, one at Boston College, and one in high school– and her dog, Charlie. Kristin enjoys reading, fiction writing, golf, tennis and hiking.
