About Rachel
- Former PreHealth Advisor at University of Illinois-Chicago and Academic Advisor at Midwestern University
- Miami University – B.S. Middle Childhood Education
- DePaul University – M.Ed. Counseling (College Student Development & Community Counseling)
Rachel was born and raised in Madison, WI. After graduating from Miami University (Ohio), she spent four years teaching middle school in Atlanta, GA before returning to the Midwest to earn a master’s degree in counseling and begin her career in higher education in the Chicagoland area.
Rachel has over a decade of experience working in higher education – working with both undergraduate and graduate/professional school students. As a pre-health advisor, Rachel advised students applying to professional healthcare-related programs and taught an undergraduate ‘Exploring Healthcare Careers’ course. Most recently, Rachel served as a learning specialist for a graduate/professional healthcare school where she provided academic and executive functioning support and coaching to students. With experience in career counseling, pre-health advising, learning support/coaching, and teaching, Rachel is passionate about supporting and empowering students to meet their academic and career goals and she is thrilled to be working with Galin students and families.
Rachel lives in the Chicagoland area with her husband, two kids, and two dogs. She enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and spending time with family and friends.
