Alex came to Madison from New York where he earned his MST in Childhood and Special Education from Fordham University. During graduate school, Alex taught both 2nd and 4th grade in Valhalla, New York. Alex completed his undergraduate years at Quinnipiac University where he received his B.S. in Psychology. Prior to moving to Madison, Alex spent two years working at the same school he student taught, as a 3rd grade special education teacher.
Beyond the classroom, Alex coached basketball for eight summers at Pierce Country Day Camp in New York. For the last 15 summers, he has worked at a sleepaway camp in Starlight, PA as a supervisor and athletic director and continues to go back every summer.
In his free time, Alex enjoys going to sporting events, playing basketball and taking his dog Capra to the dog park.
