Lots of Green Space on Campus

Bowling Green is a small town in northwestern OH that is about 45 minutes from Toledo and 2 hours from Detroit. Students reported really enjoying the green-space filled campus and plentiful residential life opportunities, with most staying on campus over the weekend. There is a small, charming downtown area with shops and cafes.

A Warm and Welcoming Community

Galin counselors report that the school community seemed incredibly supportive and welcoming, with lots of emphasis on the different kinds of advising available (from academic to career to social). There are some big athletics on campus, including women’s hockey and men’s basketball, which seemed to be big draws. The school has a large tent kind of feel with many different kinds of communities to get involved with.

Scholarship Opportunities

Scholarships and aid are plentiful, including a Success Scholarship for out of state students with at least a 3.0 and many other scholarships available for freshman thru all 4 years.

Why should students consider Bowling Green State University?

Bowling Green offers a traditional, residential college experience and quaint environment that many students may prefer over the hustle and bustle of a large urban environment. The strength of the school’s pre-health, business, and flight program offer some great options.
