Olivia grew up in Plano, Texas and attended Baylor University where she achieved her Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Science degrees. While in college, she was a tutor and academic coach for other college students. During her graduate program, Olivia also taught an undergraduate level course at Baylor University.
Entering the workforce, she worked as a public school teacher at the middle and high school levels. Realizing that her passion was helping students achieve their education and professional goals, she landed a job as an admissions counselor at A.T. Still University. In this role, she advised students who were interested in becoming a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and a Doctor of Dental Medicine. She also worked with students that were applying for other professional health science programs, such as physician assistant, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. As an admissions counselor, she took part in reviewing applications, interviewing applicants, and attending admissions committee meetings. Currently, Olivia works as a Student Success Advisor for students who are pursuing a career as a nurse practitioner. Additionally, she also reviews applications for the University of Pittsburgh Medical School.
Olivia is passionate about providing guidance to students on their journey of becoming professionals in the healthcare field. She is honored to be able to watch students grow to their full potential and to have the opportunity to partner with them during this critical time in their life. Olivia enjoys being active, traveling, and spending time with her nephew.
