In addition to his clinical practice, he has always possessed a passion for medical education. He currently acts as Associate Clerkship Director for the third year medical students rotating through Pediatrics and also runs a Pre-Medicine Observership Program at his institution. Additionally, Steve served on the Admissions Committee for the University of Virginia School of Medicine, where he reviewed medical school applications and interviewed prospective applicants. Through these roles, Steve has taught and mentored students at various stages of their training. He enjoys watching learners grow professionally and understands that each applicant has a unique set of circumstances influencing their career goals. Steve hopes to guide their individualized journey into the medical field.

Steve currently lives in northern Virginia, just outside of Washington DC, with his wife and two kids. He enjoys jogging, skiing, watching baseball, and coaching his son’s soccer team.
