Our Story

Galin Education was founded by Zach Galin with a simple goal – to help parents and students navigate the complex world of college admissions. From there, we’ve grown to provide college admissions assistance to students and parents with individualized academic tutoring, test preparation, one-on-one college counseling, and admissions workshops.

After graduating from Northwestern University, Zach Galin moved to New York City to lead an academic tutoring and test prep center. During his time in the Big Apple, he joined Teach for America in the South Bronx to teach science, test-taking strategies, and organizational skills to low-income students. He also earned his masters degree in education from New York City’s Bank Street College of Education. When Zach combined his passion for helping students with his knack for teaching, Galin Education was born.

Fast-forward to today – we’ve gone from a big idea in a big city to a robust team of experts consistently taking students to the next level. We’re based in Madison, Wisconsin with offices in Milwaukee, New York City and West Palm Beach.

Besides being accomplished teachers, our tutors have all scored in the 95th percentile on either the ACT or SAT. Our team clearly understands complex testing strategies and what’s necessary to succeed.

At the center of everything, we’ve kept our focus on one thing over the years – creating relationships with each family we work with. Some may call it Midwest nice, but we call it The Galin Difference.
