The Starter Program is designed specifically to support students on an individual basis who are focused on UW-Madison, University of Minnesota, and/or UW System schools. Each student (family) is matched with one of our expert College Admissions Counselors to work through all of the strategies to build an excellent application to maximize chances of admission to these schools.

Some official terms:

Includes up to one meeting per month through August prior to senior year and all workshops

Additional colleges apps, essays & meetings billed at the counselor’s hourly rate in 15-min increments

Program ends August 31 leading into senior year or sending applications, whichever is first

Appointment Changes and Cancellations: Appointments may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours notice. There is no refund or rescheduling
for lessons cancelled in less than 48 hours.

Guarantee: While we work our best to work closely with students to achieve their goals, we do not guarantee a admission to any particular
college or any particular outcome.

Student work: Students are expected to do their own work. We will not write essays or produce any original work as if we are the student.

Submission: Students are responsible for submitting their own applications by the deadlines published. We will not submit applications without a
parent’s permission.

Late Payments: Please help us by updating your payment information if it changes! Payments that are more than 30 days late are subject to a
$50 late fee per month.
Group Summer College Application Camp
For students who want a 4-day, get-it-done, small group workshop led by our expert advisors and essay coaches
During App Camp, students will:
- Gain an understanding of the college admissions process and how admissions officers evaluate applications.
- Brainstorm, write, and edit a personal statement essay that can be used with a variety of applications.
- Learn how to research colleges and assess chances of admission using College Planner Pro software and other resources.
- Work one-on-one and in small groups to complete the main sections of the Common Application.
- Complete an activity sheet that highlights high school awards, extracurricular activities, and leadership positions.
- Learn how to approach, brainstorm, and write common supplemental essays.

*Optional Add-On: Four hours of 1:1 college advising with a Galin College Counselor to support your student in building their list of colleges and developing an individualized plan for the App Camp. $800
